Brixton club Loki announces weekly live event series
Taking place every Thursday, the series will platform local artists alongside acts across Europe
Brixton’s Loki has announced a new weekly live event series, Loki Live.
Launched in January and now taking place every Thursday, the series will platform local artists alongside international acts with a focus on experimental and live performances.
Artists like Voice Actor, Pavel Milyakov, John T. Gast, Ikonika, Eva808 and The Fertile Crescent are all part of the programme announced so far. Food at the venue – including jerk chicken, ribs and veg curries – provided by Petro's jerk BBQ.
A press release announcing the series said: “With so many music spaces in jeopardy of closing, a venue like this - centring the local music community and with intentional programming - is a reason to remain optimistic.”
Located on the site of the Medusa club – which hosted acts like Basement Jaxx, alongside local sound systems – Loki first opened its doors in November 2022. Committed to providing an accessible and affordable space for grassroots music, the club has seen performances from the likes of Tash LC, Coki, T. Williams, and more in recent months.
