New open-air venue London Camden Courtyard

A new open-air venue is launching in London this summer. Camden Courtyard will welcome its first guests on Thursday 4th July, and offer a programme of music, food and drinks throughout the warmer months.

The 300-capacity space in the heart of Camden Town is managed by the team behind one of the borough's best-loved stages, the 80-year-old Electric Ballroom — where artists ranging from Prince and The Clash to Skrillex and Four Tet have played. Situated on newly repurposed land next to the historic venue, the outdoor address has been designed by the same talent responsible for stages at Gala Festival, and is equipped with high-spec Martin Audio sound.

Artists, crews and collectives including FreeFromSleep, UKG Brunch, Midnight Runners, Colorize, and Ketoloco are all confirmed for events in the coming months, with exact dates to be announced. Meanwhile, catering will come from Pizza & Dumplings, and iconic rum brand Wray & Nephews is set to run a slushy cocktail bar. You can subscribe for updates online now, with a chance to win tickets, food and drinks for the first night.

"For the best part of a century, Electric Ballroom has been a venue which showcases the most exciting of musical movements and Camden Courtyard is the next step in our story. The venue will offer something new for Camden, an area that has surprisingly few open air locations for drinking, dining and dancing. We’re working with a great selection of forward thinking promoters, DJs and food and drink brands, and we can’t wait to welcome new faces and regulars alike.”
