CARLO LIO'S CHRISTMAS CATS

Carlo comes bearing gifts for felines & humans alike...

'Tis the time to be merry, and techno master Carlo Lio has a lot to share this holiday season. For starters, here's a sneak peek at his forthcoming 'Technicolour Boogie' EP, a gift to dancefloors the world over.

It drops 28th December on Suara and true to its title, features two original boogie-busting bombs with remix treatments from Chus & Ceballos and Nicole Moudaber. "I definitely think I went a little more raw warehouse sound," Carlo says. Perfect for any New Year's bash, we think.

Of course, no Christmas would be complete without some partying for a good cause. Much like Suara label boss Coyu, Carlo Lio is proudly cat-crazed (and a cat dad, with two kitties at home in Toronto). In true feline fan fashion, Carlo is donating a portion of the performance fee from his upcoming show at Montreal club Stereo on December 26th to the local animal charity, Ontario SPCA. It's a special b2b set with fellow Toronto legend Nathan Barato, so we suggest that if you're in the area, you go dance off all the Christmas cake you ate. Tickets can be purchased here.

If Canada's not in the cards but you're in the giving mood, direct donations to the Ontario SPCA can be made here. As Carlo reminds us: "Ontario SPCA does amazing work which I've seen firsthand as I actually rescued one of my cats from there, so the charity was always going to be on the top of my list and also, it's local to my home."
