The Chainsmokers officially confirm release of debut album

“Guess the cats out of the bag”...

The Chainsmokers officially confirmed the release of their debut album earlier today (Monday 30th January) in a post on Twitter that also revealed details of a tour that will feature new production. You can see the tweet below.

Speculation over the The Chainsmokers’ debut album had been growing in recent weeks, and the duo gave the biggest hint yet last night in a post on Facebook that read simply, “Chainsmokers Album?” alongside an image of series of headlines and social media posts regarding the release.

Then, earlier today, The Chainsmokers Twitter account retweeted a post from Coldplay’s Chris Martin on Sunday 22nd January that read, “Excited for The Chainsmokers' album; I've heard some songs and I love them,” alongside the caption, “Guess the cats out of the bag. We are doing this for you.”

No further details of a name or release date of the album have been revealed. More information to follow.

The Chainsmokers, the duo made up of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, reentered the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll at number 18 last year.
