Danny Daze Silver Box Blue album 2023

Danny Daze has announced the release of his long-awaited debut album '::BLUE::', which will arrive via his own Omnidisc label on 17th November. You can listen to the first track, 'Silver Box', featuring fellow Miami artists Nick León and Jonny From Space, below.

Conceived as a 90-minute, continuous mix of music, the LP veers between ambient, abstract electronics, heavy bass music, and IDM. Daze reportedly produced 100 track for the album, before pairing it down to 19, which he then blended as a DJ set. Miami artists Push Button Objects and Deroboter also make guest appearances on the album.

The album is inspired by by Daze's formative years on the Miami scene and the physicality of club music  — expressed through breakdancing cyphers and turntablism. A truncated version of the LP, running at 30 minutes, has also been developed as part of an audiovisual project set to be displayed in planetarium (dome-shaped) environments. After a debut at last year's Art Basel Miami, the show will embark on a world tour this month, starting at III Points Miami on 20th and 21st October.

In addition to festivals, Daze will start a residency at The Frost Museum in January. The audiovisual project is also being turned into an app, which will use Dolby Atmos and VR technology to enhance the experience.
