Defected Records celebrates 25th anniversary with series of collaborative releases, ‘TOGETHER’

Defected Records has announced a series of collaborative releases, 'Together', to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

Featuring key artists from the label’s past, present and future, the series will include 25 unique collaborative productions, including original tracks and remixes of Defected classics.

“We are very excited to celebrate 25 years of Defected with a number of key announcements throughout January, including Together,” said Defected Records CEO, Wez Saunders, in the press material.

“As part of the campaign, we are pairing up artists that we have worked with across the last two-and-a-half-decades with newcomers for twenty-five new releases,” he continued. “This can be in the form of collaborations, features or remixes. It’s a perfect example of what Defected 2.0 stands for – collaboration and togetherness.”

The first instalment of ‘Together’ drops on 19th January with one of Defected’s longest-running residents, Sam Divine linking up with DJ Hannah Wants and singer-songwriter Jem Cooke for the single, ‘Cruel Intentions’.

The series will continue with Masters At Work stepping up to remix one of the label’s newest signees YOURS, as Louie Vega and Kenny Dope revisit ‘DÓNDE ESTÁ’ by the collective to produce three new remixes – out 26th January.

On 2nd February, Da Capo & Kitty Amor and David Guetta’s Jack Back alias will deliver their own exclusive remix package, before a TBA artist closes out the first run of releases with an Afro-electronic inspired remix of Fish Go Deep & Tracey K’s ‘The Cure & The Cause’ on 9th February.

Defected has plans to continue the Together series throughout 2024, with further collaborative releases and remixes to be announced later this year.

At the end of 2024, fans will be able to purchase a bespoke, limited-edition vinyl boxset featuring the 25 productions across 13 double-sided 12” singles, individually sleeved and housed in one hard outer case.

Limited to just 2500 units only, the boxset is available to pre-order now, alongside an exclusive Defected XXV merch bundle.

Last year, Defected Records announced a new fundraising partnership with UK housing and homelessness charity, Shelter.
