In 2022, DGTL became the world's first "circular" dance festival after taking significant steps in sustainability and reaching net zero emissions. This year, the team are working to a "doughnut economy" model, an idea consisting of two rings; a social foundation layer to stop people being left short on essentials, and an upper ecological level to avoid over stretching Earth's ecosystems. As part of this, all attendees are being asked to take responsibility for their own emissions.
