Dialled In has dropped the first names for its upcoming Manchester festival.

The multi-genre all-dayer, slated for 20th July at MIAMOS (The Nia Centre), will celebrate South Asian artistry with sets from, Manara, Arthi, PXSSY PALACE, Girl's Don't Sync's G33, Haaji Ka Halva (live), Metz n Trix, Samrai B2B Florentino, Bengal Sound, Nahi Mitti, and many more. DJ Radical Sista has also been confirmed as a special guest.

In partnership with Dishoom, the festival will host over 30 live musicians across three rooms, running from midday to 10 PM. Open to all ages, guests can expect a series of workshops, food, and an eclectic array of music.

The event is also supported by funding from Arts Council England, produced in collaboration with a Manchester-based team, with Balraj Samrai, Gracie T, and Chande programming the all-dayer.

The all-dayer will mark the first festival outside London for the UK South Asia collective. Shamil Thakrar, Dishoom co-founder, said in a press release: “Back in 2019 we took Dishoom to Lost Village, and this is where we first met Ahad Elley – he was brilliant as part of the South Asian line-up in our Dishoom tent.”

“We’ve been huge admirers of the work the Dialled In team have done since. The way they bring together and champion the South Asian community is awesome. We’ve brought our food and chai to Dialled In parties over the past few years, and now it feels like the right time to do something even bigger and better together.”

Speaking on the event, the Dialled In team said: “Dialled In Manchester feels historic. For us, it’s like going back to our roots in 2021 in a new territory. We wanted to better understand how we can serve our community, and one of the ways we decided to do that is by taking the festival to a new city and wanting to start broadening our horizons outside of London. This event is the first of many UK-wide activities we will be unveiling over the next two years.”

Manara was recently featured in DJ Mag’s Recognise series. You can read the feature and listen to the DJ and broadcaster’s mix here. Her Pure Spice radio show on BBC Radio Network was also shortlisted as Best Radio Show at DJ Mag’s Best of British awards 2022, while PXSSY PALACE won Best Club Event that same year.
