Viceland — the dedicated TV channel of vice.com — announced back in January that they were set to produce a spoof documentary series based on the life of Major Lazer's Diplo, with ex-Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek tipped to play the leading role.
Due to air in five parts and star fellow EDM joker Dillon Francis alongside Friday Night Lights’ Dora Madison, the first look trailer for the series has now officially landed (watch it below) with the full season set to debut on 3rd August via Viceland.
The original idea for the new series spawned from a previously-released viral video featuring Van Der Beek as Diplo — the clip was commissioned to promote Diplo's Mad Decent Block Party events across the States in June 2016.
