DJ Minx has announced a reissue of 'A Walk In The Park', alongside a selection of new remixes, to mark the track's 20th anniversary. Listen to Seth Troxler's remix below.
The legendary Detroit DJ has also enlisted Carl Craig, Ardalan and Soul Clap to rework the track, alongside a new edit of her own. The full release will arrive on 2nd December.
Originally landing via Minx's own Women on Wax imprint, which she established in order to champion female, Black and mid-Western/Detroit talent, the tune famously took just 45 minutes to produce. It quickly gained popularity before Richie Hawtin relicensed it for his M_NUS label, helping push it to a wider audience. The 2022 incarnation will appear on Factory 93 Records.
"My career has evolved so much in the twenty years since the release of 'Walk in the Park', it’s nostalgic to look back on it all. The fact that it took such a short time to create such a dynamic sound, still creates a glow inside me to this day. Not a single year has passed since its release that someone has not spoken of the track or thanked me for being the producer," said Minx.
"This remix compilation features a culmination of producers who have grown into dear friends and have been incredibly supportive of me throughout the years. I am extremely excited to have them put a fresh perspective on a track that means so much to me,” she added.
