EDC Las Vegas tents sent to shelter storm victims in the Bahamas

750 Advanced Shelter Systems from this year's festival have been repurposed

EDC Las Vegas have sent tents to the Bahamas to help the relief efforts following Hurricane Dorian.

Having recently sold out next year's event in record time, organisers Insomniac have sent 750 repurposed tents (or Shiftpod2 Advanced Shelter Systems) from this year's festival to provide protection for families affecting by the storm.

A category 5 hurricane, Dorian is regarded as the worst natural disaster in the country's history.

Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella said, “Insomniac strives to bring happiness to millions of people around the world. When we got the call to help with this relief effort, we didn’t hesitate.”

Back in July, it was revealed that Insomniac had acquired an ownership stake Miami venue Club Space.

Electric Daisy Carnival Orlando recently announced its line-up for November, with over 100 artists, labels and brands descending on the three-day festival.
