South London rapper ENNY is fronting a new mentorship programme, Freeform Forum, aimed at aspiring UK-based creatives between the ages of 18 and 25.

The free six-week initiative will offer 12 participants industry guidance, 1-on-1 mentoring, and IRL networking sessions to develop a live creative project, in collaboration with Relentless and UK arts organisation Small Green Shoots. Applications are open to young people with creative visions in music production, photography or film making, with the aim of helping to unlock gate-kept opportunities within the creative industry.

The mentorship program builds on a new national youth study, commissioned by Relentless, that revealed that a lack of mentorship is holding young people back from entering the sector. One in three Brits aged 18 to 30 would like a job in the creative industries, the research showed, but only one in 10 have been able to secure a full-time role.

Heading up the Freeform Forum mentorship programme is ENNY alongside J Hus’ Producer TSB, Burna Boy’s photographer Elliot Hensford, and Super Bowl ad co-creator Tajana Tokyo. These mentors will offer guidance and inspiration to participants on breaking barriers in the music industry. One of the 12 mentees also stands a chance of securing a £10,000 fund to support their creative vision.

ENNY released her latest EP, ‘We Go Again’, in April via FAMM, featuring production from Emil, Yogic, Baker Aaron, Beat Butcha, Linden Jay, and long-time collaborator Paya, as well as a guest feature from Loyle Carner.
