Five reasons why Croatia's Sea Star Festival is a must

There's still time (just)...

Created by the folks behind Serbia's legendary EXIT festival, Sea Star Festival is taking place this weekend in Croatia and if you haven't got any plans for the bank holiday weekend you could still get to Croatia to catch the likes of The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Pendulum and 70 other artists, if you get your skates on.

Here's five reasons why Sea Star festival is a must for dance music fans looking to kick off this summer's festival season in style without breaking the bank.

1. It's really cheap

The current ticket price is £56.10 and for those who want to continue their summer adventure in the EXIT Summer of Love, there is a package on offer which includes the Sea Star Festival, as well as EXIT (from 6th to 9th July, with additional Zero Day with The Killers concert) and Sea Dance (from 13th to 15th July). Flights are cheap as chips, too — starting from just £28 via Jet2.

2. There are over 70 acts playing

From British legends, The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim to German star Paul Kalkbrenner, dubstep-rock band Modestep (first time live in full force in this part of the world) and Pendulum, there's something for everyone at Sea Star Festival.

3. Non-stop partying

Kicking off at 12 noon and carrying on until 5am each morning, Sea Star offers up two full days of raving, and then there's the small matter of the afterparty on Sunday 28th May for those of you who still have energy to burn.

4. There's a proper seaside atmosphere

The sea is only 14 metres away from the Main Stage. So, Sea Star really is a seaside festival and with Croatia's guaranteed sun there's no better way to kick off this summer's festival season.

5. Accommodation is literally just a step away

Travelling miles to and from any festival site can be a total buzz kill. Thankfully, Sea Star's accommodation is just 50 metres away from the festival site, which means less travelling and more raving. Just the way it should be. Not only is the accomodation close to the festival site but the accommodation has a 3, 4, or 5-star rating.

Sea Star takes place 26th to 28th July at Stella Maris in Umag, Croatia. For more information and tickets head here
