Florentino's new EP, 'Kilometro Quinze', is coming next month on XL Recordings. Listen to the Shygirl-featuring single 'Pressure' below.

The five-track record is the British-Colombian producer's debut EP for XL. In addition to South London star Shygirl, there are features from DJ Python and Baby Cocada, as well as BAMBII & KD One on the August 2022 single 'Constrictor'. It's out on 20th October.

“Kilometro 15 is the name of the road that exists closest to my grandad's farm, a lot of this record is inspired by my time there over the years" Florentino said about the record's origins and his own. "This almost nameless road, that exists near to a military base on one side and marsh jungle-like land on the other, represents an in-between place to me, a path to somewhere that feels like home".

"Since the inception of Florentino on that farm years ago, I’ve constantly been chasing a sound in between the darker UK club music I was immersed in growing up in Manchester and the different styles of Colombian music my family had introduced me to", he continued. "[This EP] is me making my own mark in between the two sonic worlds…".

'Kilometro Quinze' is Florentino's second solo release of the year, following the 'Xcuse Me / Loka' single from April. He also contributed a remix to DJ Babatr's 'Las Lomas & Fuma Con Los Panas Remixes' compilation, released in June.

Earlier this year, Florentino's Club Romantico label released a single by Manuka Honey called 'Machete / 777'.

Florentino and DJ Python have previously collaborated together as Sangre Nueva with Kelman Duran. The trio released two singles together in 2020 and 2021.
