Gang Starr release first album in 16 years, 'One of the Best Yet’: Listen
The sixteen-track album follows singles 'Family and Loyalty' and 'Bad Name'

Gang Starr have released a new album, titled 'One of the Best Yet'.
The first album from the influential hip-hop group in 16 years, 'One of the Best Yet' features J. Cole, Ne-Yo Q-Tip, and Talib Kweli, and also marks the first full-length release from Gang Starr since member Guru's death in 2010.
Speaking on the release, Gang Starr member DJ Premiere shared: “This album means everything to me. It’s a continuation of what I never wanted to end. It’s a very foreign place for me and very emotional. I get happy, sad, excited; my feelings are kind of all over the place. But predominantly, just very happy to be making music with Guru again.”
Described in the press release as a step back to "Gang Starr’s seminal work of the past,", the album features 16 tracks all produced by DJ Premier and "re-establishes their impact in a modern-day perspective."
Gang Starr also shared a music video for album track, 'Family and Loyalty', featuring archival footage of the late Guru.
