John Glacier announces new EP, shares single and video featuring Eeartheater: Watch
The London rapper and poet's post punk-inspired first release for Young Recordings lands next month
John Glacier's new EP, 'Like A Ribbon', is coming next month. Watch the video for 'Money Shows', featuring Eartheater, below.
The five-track EP, out 23rd February, is the London rapper, producer and poet's first release on her new label home of Young Recordings. Produced by Kwes Darko, aka Blue Daisy, it's influenced by post-punk and the gloomy atmosphere of London.
John Glacier describes the lead single 'Money Shows' as "a track about identities and running threads that never quite meet — different realities running at the same constant." "It's about showing up but most importantly remembering to live", she wrote in an Instagram post. The music video marks her first-ever self-directed project.
'Like A Ribbon' is the follow up to John Glacier's 2021 debut release, 'SHILOH: Lost For Words', with Vegyn.
John Glacier performed at the revival of Southbank Centre's Purcell Sessions programme in autumn 2022 alongside the likes of KMRU, Kali Malone, TEEBS, Lucinda Chua, Sote and more.
Last year, Eartheather released the 'Powders' album, featuring the single 'Pure Smile Snake Venom', and its companion mixtape 'Trinity'. She collaborated with LSDXOXO on the 'Demons' video in 2022.
