Kygo reveals video for ‘Stargazing’: Watch

Truly heartbreaking stuff...

Kygo's single, 'Stargazing', now has a music video to accompany the track, which seems intent on leaving few dry eyes in the house given the emotionally charged content.

Directed by Phillip R. Lopez, whose credits also include Pussy Riot's 'Straight Outta Vagina' and the MTV Music Video Awards-nominated 'It Ain't Me' (a collaboration between Kygo and Selena Gomez which featured in our roundup of the biggest tracks from Croatia 2017), the footage tells the story of a young boy struggling with the unexpected loss of a parent, while also giving us an insight into the grief his mother- now a widow- is experiencing.

All in all pretty heavy stuff, thankfully, for your tissue supply at least, there is some relief towards the end of the narrative, with phone cameras, sparklers, and a rocket ship offering positive vibes to match the uplifting synthy tones of the tune. This is the inaugural single to come from Kygo's recently released EP, also called 'Stargazing', which in turn is his first new material to arrive since the documentary about his meteoric rise to fame was unveiled. Spoilers done, take a look at the yarn in full below, then tell us you don't feel something inside.
