Martin Garrix launches music academy for upcoming artists

40 emerging artists from across the world will engage in a three-day programme

Martin Garrix Music Academy

Martin Garrix has launched a new music academy, aimed at nurturing new electronic music talent.

The Martin Garrix & JBL Music Academy is run in partnership with the eponymous speaker manufacturer, and will take place at Garrix's own STMPD RCRDS and Studios in Amsterdam from 28th to 31st March 2023. 40 musicians, songwriters, vocalists, and producers from across the world will be given a chance to participate in the three-day programme.

The course includes elements on writing, mixing, mastering, PR, branding, social media, booking, law and more, with a host of experts from across the industry brought in to deliver specialist sessions. Applications open today, 1st December 2022, and will close on 27th January 2023, with the academy running from 28th - 31st March 2023.

Those interested must submit a motivational video alongside a maximum of three pieces of original music they have created. You can register here.

"I’m super excited about this Music Academy. The focus for us at STMPD RCRDS is already on emerging talent, but thanks to this collaboration with JBL we can provide a platform to a large group of new talent from all over the world,” said Garrix.

In October, Garrix was again crowded the World's No.1 DJ in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs 2022 poll, which he celebrated with a set from the top of New York's Empire State Building.
