Learn synthesis in your browser with Ableton's new microsite

The new interactive website features step-by-step lessons on how synthesis works...

Ableton have launched a new microsite teaching users how synthesis works, using interactive widgets allowing users to build their own rich-sounding synth while teaching the basics of synthesis along the way. You'll learn about amplitude, envelopes, LFO modulation, filters and more as you build your interactive synth from scratch.

The website works on both mobile and desktop and uses touchscreen functionality where available to design and shape sounds. You'll also learn about the different types of oscillator shapes and sounds, as well as filter types, how to create drums and percussion sounds and eventually create common synthesized sounds like plucked bass and strings.
