Martyn Bootyspoon shares 'Hornt Parade' remix of ELLES' 'Sex': Listen

ELLES has enlisted Martyn Bootyspoon to remix her recent track 'Sex'.

Bootyspoon's 'Hornt Parade' remix of the track forms part of a forthcoming special remix EP, set for full release in 2024, of ELLES' debut album 'A Celebration Of The Euphoria Of Life'. Further remixers of the album's tracks will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Speaking about the upcoming release, ELLES said: "I wanted to give some of the more under-the-radar album tracks their dues, so inviting some of my faves to put their spin on the 'A Celebration Of The Euphoria Of Life' world for this remix EP was a no-brainer. 'Sex' is my tribute to after party hookups that ultimately mask a deeper desire for connection, part of the bittersweet tapestry of adventures in the night explored over the album’s course. I always felt it was a track that had scope to expand into more club-ready territory and knew just the man for the job.

"I'm such a fan of MB's work and him as a person, he was so supportive of the album and I knew no-one else could give 'Sex' a better work out, so-to-speak, on the remix. I’m delighted with the result – much of the album is about evoking physical environments as well as the emotional ones, and there is such a feeling of that with his remix – he takes us right into the blistering epicentre of the warehouse rave. Love it so much."

Martyn Bootyspoon added: "ELLES' 'A Celebration Of The Euphoria of Life' was an adored airport-headphone record for me last year. When she asked me to remix 'Sex' I was both honoured and excited – a shining star of the tracklist, and to be able to work with a vocal so salacious was a dream. The original already being intimate and silky to the ears as is, I gave it the added Anthemic Stadium-Sleeze it so dearly deserved."
