Missy Elliott wax figure goes on display in Madame Tussauds Las Vegas
The bespoke outfit is donated from the hip-hop icon's 2019 MTV VMAs Video Vanguard Award performance
Missy Elliott is the latest celebrity whose likeness has been cemented with a wax figure.
The hip-hop icon's wax figure is now on display at the Madame Tussauds museum in Las Vegas. "It’s caute", Elliott wrote on Instagram, urging fans, "YOU MUST SEE IT IN PERSON!"
She said the elaborate braid design was done "strand by strand" and the outfit is donated from her 2019 MTV VMAs Video Vanguard Award performance. The figure is on display now and fans are encouraged to participate in the #CoolOffChallenge dance challenge on Instagram.
"It’s an honor to have the 'Iconology' album play a part in this experience — this is a dream come true!" Elliott said in a statement.
In October, Missy Elliott Boulevard was officially unveiled in her hometown of Portsmouth, Virginia.
Last year, Timbaland teased that he and Missy Elliott were in the studio together working on an album, which would be her first since 2005's 'The Cookbook'.
