Missy Elliott announces first-ever headline tour featuring Busta Rhymes, Ciara, Timbaland
The legendary hip-hop performer is taking key collaborators to 24 cities across North America this summer
Missy Elliott's first-ever headline tour — will cover North America this summer.
The hip-hop icon will be joined by with Timbaland, Busta Rhymes and Ciara for the 24-city tour, titled Out of This World — The Missy Elliott Experience. The show will debut on 4th July in Vancouver and travel through Oakland, Las Vegas, Houston, Atlanta, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Montreal and more before wrapping up in Rosemont, Illinois on 22nd August.
"This is an incredible time in my life as I am experiencing so many milestone 'firsts'", Missy Elliott Being said in a press release. "The FIRST female hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and now going out on my FIRST headline tour. Fans have been asking me to tour forever but I wanted to wait until I felt the time was right because I knew if I was ever going to do it, I had to do it big, and I had to do it with family!"
Missy Elliott performed at her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony this past November. She was previously honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a street name in her Virginia hometown and even a Madame Tussauds wax figure in the Las Vegas museum.
