AIR will tour ‘Moon Safari’ for the first time in 2024 to celebrate 25th anniversary
The French duo will play their celebrated 1998 debut in full
AIR will play their debut album ‘Moon Safari’ in full on tour across Europe and the UK next year to mark the record’s 25th anniversary.
The tour, which will be the first time that the French duo have performed their seminal record in full live, is billed as a one night only experience taking place in carefully curated venues across Europe.
Opening on 24th February 2024 at Anitgel at Victoria Hall in Geneva, the eight date tour takes in stops in Milan, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam and more cities before wrapping at the London Coliseum on 24th March.
Pre-sale for tickets opens this Thursday (16th November) at 10AM local time. General sale opens this Friday (17th November) at 10AM local time via AIR’s website.
‘Moon Safari’ featured hit singles ‘Sexy Boy’, ‘Kelly Watch The Stars’ and ‘All I Need’, and quickly catapulted Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel to stardom.
Dunckel said: “We were a duo doing some electronic thing, dreaming of selling 10,000 copies and being recognised by other musicians as cool. Then suddenly, we met the world.”
He reflected on the 1998 album as “a deep, universal spell, full of love and mystery”.
Godin added: "To me, ‘Moon Safari’ is perfect.”
This Friday also sees the Apple Exclusive release of a Dolby Atmos Mix of ‘Moon Safari’.
Earlier this year AIR released a 25th anniversary vinyl edition of their critically acclaimed debut.
