Air have shared a previously unreleased demo track from ‘Moon Safari’ alongside the announcement of an upcoming North American tour.

The demo version of 'New Star in the Sky' is a stripped-back rendition of the original album track. The release follows January’s announcement that the French electronic duo will release a 25th-anniversary deluxe edition of ‘Moon Safari’ this month.

The special edition, out this Friday 8th March, will include various rare and unreleased tracks, alongside a documentary filmed during Air's first world tour. Last year, Air also released a 25th-anniversary vinyl edition of their critically acclaimed debut.

Alongside the release, Air have also announced a North American tour scheduled for later this year. The tour kicks off in Vancouver on September 9th and includes dates across the US and Canada, such as Seattle, LA, San Francisco, Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, New York, Miami, and more, before concluding in Austin, Texas, on October 30th.

The group kicked off their tour across Europe last month, marking the first time they performed the ‘Moon Safari’ record in full live. The tour is ongoing, with Air announcing additional dates that will extend into summer earlier this year.

These include performances on May 30th at London's Royal Albert Hall, Sónar Festival in Barcelona on June 14th, Days Off Festival in Paris on June 24th, Zitadelle Spandau in Berlin on July 21st, and Medastadt Open Air in Vienna on July 23rd.
