MOBY TURNS DOWN TRUMP INAUGURATION PERFORMANCE, COMPILES PROTEST PLAYLIST INSTEAD

The never-ending line of musicians to turn down Trump grows...

Moby has become the latest in the seemingly never-ending line of musicians to turn down offers to play Donald Trump's presidential inauguration ball later this month.

Despite being outspoken in both his dislike of Trump and his support of Hillary Clinton, the US artist shared a post on Instagram yesterday (9th January), revealing that he was asked by a booking agent if he would DJ the event.

Alongside outbursts of laughter, Moby jokes that he would play the "if as payment Trump released his tax returns", adding that he "would probably play Public Enemy and Stockhausen remixes to entertain the republicans."

Moby went on to put together a Spotify playlist of protest songs, featuring tracks by Radiohead, Public Enemy, Kendrick Lamar and the Sex Pistols.
