Needs x HeForShe adds Peggy Gou, Jackmaster and Special Guest to all-day event

The campaign for gender equality confirms a full-day takeover at Oval Space, London...

On Sunday 11th March, Needs will partner up with UN Women to host an event to campaign for gender equality featuring a full day of panels and discussions plus evening DJ performances from Peggy Gou, Jackmaster, Needs label founder Bobby Pleasure and a special guest.

HeForShe London Arts week presents initiatives from the creative world in the hope that equality can be found within the industry. This intimate, not-for-profit event at Oval Space aims to raise funds for the cause.

In addition to electronic music and DJs, artists such as multi-platinum songwriter Carla Marie, British singer-songwriter Chloe Howl, and London-based singer Kyra will participate in discussions.

Panels also include shesaidso, AIM (Association of Independent Music), Mixcloud (the official streaming partner for the day) and Resident Advisor. Familiar faces from BBC Radio 1, Big Dipper Productions, Rinse FM and Ninja Tune will also share their voice, amongst many more.

There will be a vinyl and digital EP released by Needs to coincide with the event featuring artists Peggy Gou and Juju & Jordash with bespoke cover artwork courtesy of The Line Girl.

All funds raised from the event and EP will be donated to UN Women to support their work in promoting gender equality. Find more information and tickets through the Facebook event.
