New photobook, Super Sharp Shooter, captures the UK’s most iconic clubs and festivals

A new photobook, Super Sharp Shooter, visually explores some of the UK’s most iconic clubs and festivals.

Created and compiled by event photographer Sarah Ginn, the book - which is sub-titled A Spectral Photographic Journey Through Bass Music - is a collection of over 800 images, many of which have never been seen before. Encompassing the worlds of drum & bass, dubstep, house and techno, it explores a variety of clubs and festivals as well as press shots and record covers.

Across 496 pages, Ginn's photography captures UK rave and dance culture in the 2000s, 2010s and 2020s. In venues such as Fabric, Boomtown, Glastonbury, Outlook, Printworks, Creamfields and Hospitality, her photography feature DJs and artists including Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox, Goldie, Chemical Brothers, Miss Kitten, Andy C, Benga, Skream, dBridge, Ben UFO, Craig Richards, Erol Alkan and many more.

In a statement, Ginn said: “I’m looking forward to publishing this book because these actually are my only memories! Research shows that when you take photos it actually affects the way you remember things. So on that note, I hope you all enjoy my crazy spectral journey into sound, the many sights of the rave and everything in between.”

Printed as a full-colour, deluxe coffee book is printed on heavyweight 150 gsm paper, Super Sharp Shooter will be published via Velocity Press in May 2023. A bundle with an A2 poster is also available.
