Nightclub space in disused Boeing 727-200 aeroplane to launch in Brazil

Margaret Dygas, ANNA and Wehbba are confirmed for the first run of parties

JETSET Brazil Camboriú

A nightclub space is opening in a disused Boeing 727-200 aeroplane. JETSET will launch next month in Camboriú, Santa Catarina, Brazil, as part of the Surreal Park superclub.

Three dates have been confirmed so far, with Margaret Dygas playing the opening party on 16th March 2024. This will be followed by homegrown techno icon ANNA, who joins fellow Brazilian player Wehbba, Bhaskar, and Illusionize on 29th March.

The second lineup also includes Renato Ratier, a figurehead of Brazil's club scene who has played a central role in landmark venues such as São Paulo's D-Edge and Camboriú spots Warung Beach Club and the sprawling Surreal Park. JETSET is the latest addition to the latter, and will also be used as part of Surreal Festival, which will be held on 13th April.

Once carrying up to 189 passengers on regional and short haul flights, the last commercial flight of a Boeing 727 was in 2019, although the design was discontinued in 1984. More than 1,800 had been produced by that time. Surreal's own is currently being disassembled at Curitiba airport, before undergoing refurbishment, chroming, and a full transformation into a music venue.

Surreal Park was voted No.71 in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs poll 2023.
