Nyege Nyege Festival finalises program for 2020 online and physical festival

The event is scheduled to take place next month

Nyege Nyege Festival has revealed the full program for this year's festival. 

Usually taking place against the backdrop of the shores on Nile Discovery Beach in Jinja, Uganda, Nyege Nyege festival has now confirmed the full line-up for the 2020 edition of the festival, which will be an online event streaming live concerts, DJ sets, AV installations, films, dance workships, a pan African dance battle, and more.

Taking place across four days and four nights from the 3rd to the 6th December, the festival will be available to access via the Nyege Nyege website, and this year, presents the theme of "African Unity". Among the 300 artists confirmed are Kampire, MC Yallah, and Slikback, who'll be joined by the likes of Suzi Analogue, EQ Why, Príncipe's Blacksea Não Maya, and Waajeed.

For those who live in Uganda, Nyege Nyege has enlisted the country’s network of motorcycle taxis – or boda boda as they are called in East Africa, to deliver party packages including discounted food and drinks from partner restaurants in Kampala as well as nyege masks and t-shirts, sound systems, make up artists and hair stylists and mixologists.
