Orbital, Palms Trax, Shy One, more announced for BBC Radio 1 residencies

BBC Radio 1 has announced its newest residents for winter 2023.

Starting this week, from 1st December, Palms Trax and Shy One will take over the key Thursday 11 PM slot for the month. January will showcase new residents Madam X and Paramida, with Yung Singh and Orbital handling the February Residency programme.

"I'm super excited to be given the chance to join the esteemed BBC Radio 1’s Residency," Yung Singh said. "It's a real privilege to be given an opportunity to bring the sounds and stories I hold so dearly to such a wide audience and platform."

UK dance veterans Orbital describe what fans can expect from their show: "We are going to be diving deep into our record collection and playing you the music we loved that helped forge Orbital, from all those years ago to present day.”

Orbital recently revealed their latest album, 'Optical Delusion', which will be released next year during their residency month, on 17th February.

Radio 1's Residency airs Thursday nights from 11 PM to 1 AM local time. Tune in here.
