A number of high profile and emerging electronic music artists have been confirmed for the next instalment in EA Sports' best-selling PC and console football simulation franchise, FIFA, which arrives 29th September on all platforms with early access from tomorrow.

Overmono, salute, Bianca Oblivion, Skrillex, and The Blessed Madonna have all contributed tracks to FC 24. Bree Runway, Stormzy, ODESZA, MEDUZA, DROELOE, Romy, M83, Effy and Flowdan, DRS with Duskee and Disrupta, and Myke Towers also make the list, with over 100 artists featured in total.

While developer EA Sports has made it clear the forthcoming game represents a significant new era in the history of the decade-spanning series (which, until this year, was updated annually under the 'FIFA' title) and its accompanying music, the latest edition builds on a strong record of using tunes from high profile names.

Swedish House Mafia, Chemical Brothers, and Little Simz were among those to provide tracks for 2022's edition. The relationship between sounds and video games in general has also been explored in depth by DJ Mag a number of times, from electronic music existing in computer worlds to the artists finding inspiration in them

"The premiere of EA Sports FC 24 delivers a definitive global soundtrack that builds on innovation and authenticity like never before," said Steve Schnur, EA's President of Music. "We've curated a player experience that celebrates diversity and discovery via new music and artists that defies genres, erases borders, creates football culture, and powers football life. It's the next chapter in The World's Game, set to music like never before."
