La Fleur’s ‘Flowerhead’ was the track that launched the Swedish-born Berlin-based DJ/producer onto discerning dancefloors including Watergate, Cocoon, Rex Club and Razzmatazz when it was released through her own Power Plant Recordings six years ago.
To mark what has been a vintage year for the Watergate resident, La Fleur has announced a remix package of the track, which is due for release later this week (Friday 2nd December). We’ve got the exclusive play of Dana Ruh’s rework below, which is joined on the EP by remixes by Cassy and La Fleur herself.
Speaking about the remix, Ruh told DJ Mag, “It was a challenge as the original is very powerful and has a strong hook. I wanted to keep its vibe but also add my understanding of Hypnose. It took me a while to work out how I could bring both together, so the first version was a fail, but I’m very happy with the final one.”
