Premiere: Wayward

We've featured Wayward on these pages before, and if early indications are anything to go by, this duo is most certainly set for the top. Having enjoyed something of a crazy 2017 (playing high-profile gigs at the likes of Secret Garden Party and Bestival as they went), the boys also enjoyed early success courtesy of tracks such as ‘Transcence’, which proved a massive hit on Spotify where it's amassed over 2 million listens since its release. 

Following up the latter with the 'Alexandra' EP (which was remixed by the likes of Man Power and Hammer), the lads usher in 2018 here courtesy of another fitting summary of their talents. The beatifully named ‘Good Afternoon Mr.Magpie’ EP speaks volumes about the curious, meandering nature of their work, and with five killer cuts on show it’s a release that’s positively stuffed to the brim with classy, melancholic fare.

We’re particularly feeling the release’s finale, ‘Human Spirit’. A fitting example of everything that’s great about this burgeoning duo, its a heartfelt track that isn’t afraid to let its emotions roam free. An intoxicating and hypnotic cut, it’s a classy gem of the type that’s sure to lift your spirits this weather.
