Richie Hawtin confirms release under F.U.S.E. alias ahead of Plastikman album

He shared the news via social media earlier today...

Richie Hawtin announced he is planning a a new Plastikman album earlier this week (23rd October), but he has now revealed that he will return under a different alias before that material drops.

Writing on Twitter, he explained he would spend most of 2019 focusing on his Closer live show, before adding, "however, something else will happen first with another old pseudo-name. #1993."

Hawtin later clarified the tweet when asked by a fan about future releases under his F.U.S.E. alias. He said, "Not long to wait!"

Hawtin started his F.U.S.E. alias in 1990 with the 'Approach & Identify' EP. The #1993 part of the tweet seemingly refers to his 'Dimension Intrusion' album under the name, the only LP recorded as F.U.S.E. that landed that year.

The techno icon climbed 19 places in this year’s DJ Mag Top 100 poll, landing the No. 61 spot.
