The imprint’s debut compilation spotlights an intersection of LA’s rising electronic talent
LA party Soul Swap has launched a new label, SLSWP, with a V/A compilation. Listen to the project below.
The 21-track project, released on Friday (23rd June) and titled 'SLSWP - Vol. 1', features cuts from primarily LA-based artists, including T4T LUV NRG affiliate, Introspekt, Anna Morgan, Lil M, Oak City Slums, Lara Sarkissian, and Amazondotcom.
Other DJs also featured on the compilation include Mexico’s Regal86, Venezeula-based Dj Babatr, and East Coast producer Nick León, alongside Soul Swap residents Kelman Duran, Sevyn 0000, and Akumen.
Soul Swap is one of two monthly party series thrown by Mexican-born/LA-raised DJ and promoter Karen Galindo aka Mapamota, which emerged post-pandemic to spotlight a wide spectrum of bass and global club sounds from DJ guests like RP Boo, DJ Lag, and DJ SWISHA.
