South Africa’s Search Festival announces Jamz Supernova, Jumping Back Slash, Esa, more for New Year festival

South Africa's Search Festival has announced the full line-up for its New Year festival.

Jamz Supernova, Jumping Back Slash, Esa and Donna Leake are among the artists set to play the event.  Taking over a farm outside Swellendam, the country's fourth oldest town, the event runs over four days from Saturday 30th December 2023 to Tuesday 2nd January 2024. Aaron.P, DJ Mighty b2b Ra Mava, re.dah, DJ And, Data Takashi, and Ashanti Tribe have also been confirmed. Check out the full line-up below.

In addition to local and international DJs and producers, a strong visual element will form a key part of the programme. This year, Search is partnering with the South African branch of SheSaidSo, a global community of women and gender-nonconforming actors within the music industry and scene. The intention is to deliver a safer space for all attendees.

Now in its ninth year, Search began as a "fun little experiment" run by a group of friends who wanted to "reimagine the tired trope that is New Year's Eve". Growing annually ever since, largely through word of mouth from artists and attendees, the forthcoming edition is dedicated to the theme of 'illumination'.
