Techno-scored film about Berlin’s nightlife gets trailer: WATCH

Innervisions' Frank Wiedemann is behind the soundtrack...

Techno-scored film about Berlin's nightlife, 'Symphony of Now', has just had its teaser unveiled, whetting appetites ahead of the official release next month.

The music has been curated by Innervisions' Frank Wiedemann, with Modeselektor— whose 2013 documentary can now be streamed for free— Alex.Do, who played Privilege Ibiza's 2017 closing party, Thomas Fehlmann, Samon Kawamura, Gudrun Gut, and Hans-Joachim Roedelius also contributing pieces.

Apparently taking inspiration from Walther Ruttmann's 'Berlin – Die Sinfonie der Grosstadt' ('Berlin - Symphony of a Great City), a 1927 semi-documentary portraying life in the German capital as was then, this new offering is the product of director Johanne Schaff, filmmaker Lil' Internet, and Alexandra Weltz, and looks at almost half a decade of musical legacy.

Electronic Beats and Audi Zeitgeist are behind the film, which focusses on the city after sunset. Given Berlin is amongst the most exciting places to be once darkness falls thanks to its legendary party and club scene, alongside an ever-fertile arts community, when 'Symphony of Now' is premiered on 14th February it should make for quite the visual adventure. Further screenings are scheduled for 15th and 16th February, but first take a look at the trailer.
