Tomorrowland announces 2023 festival dates and theme, ‘Adscendo’

A new immersive digital experience and storybook help set the scene in advance of landmark EDM event's forthcoming hometown edition

Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland has announced the 2023 dates for its flagship festival, and next year's theme.

The mega-event will again be split over two weekends and take place at De Schorre, in the appropriately-named town of Boom, Belgium. The first instalment spans from the 21st to 23rd July, while the second runs across the weekend of the 28th to 30th July.

The 17th edition of the iconic gathering has a theme of 'Adscendo', and while details are under wraps, the site will invoke a high-altitude fantasy landscape, with the Great Library a focal point from which an immersive story will unfold. The tale begins months before the actual festival, though, with a new digital experience going live in late January for those who have pre-registered. A unique book, two years in the writing, is also being published, adding more detail and permanence to the narrative.

Registration for tickets opens on 7th December at 3PM CET, with sale dates beginning on 21st January at 5PM CET for Global Journey passes, 28th January 5PM CET for Worldwide Pre-Sale, and 4th February 5PM CET for the Worldwide Ticket Sale. Full details can be found at Tomorrowland's website, while information on the organisation's DJ and production academy, launched earlier this year, can be found here
