WATCH CONAN O'BRIEN GET REJECTED FROM BERLIN'S BERGHAIN NIGHTCLUB

Cringe...

Conan O'Brien tried his luck at getting into Berlin's Berghain over the summer, before being unceremoniously turned away by staffers from the famous German club.

The stunt, that was filmed for Conan's late-night American talkshow, attracted critics from the dance music industry including outspoken DJ/producer The Black Madonna, who wrote on a (now deleted) Instagram post: “I'm not humorless about any subject. But turning a space like this into a comedy spectacle for a largely straight American audience with no context other than the club being private and gay is a problem".

Unsurprisingly, the presenter (who was sporting a black t-shirt and dark leather jacket) was asked to leave before he could get close to the club's doorstep, with an anonymous Berghain staff member saying: "Please go now, we don't want to call the police."
