Watch Flume break down how he produced ‘Say It’

"Honestly, I was dicking around"

Flume recently caught up with Triple J, a leading radio station in his native of Austrialia, to break down exactly how he produced his much-loved 2016 collaboration with Tove Lo, 'Say It'.

"Honestly, I was dicking around," he jokes initially in the video, before going into further detail, stating that his aim with the track was to add intricate elements to something "quite bold and upfront".

Over the course of the video, while discussing the studio sessions that went into making the track with Tove Lo, Flume also reveals that he tends to get the best out of himself when working on the spot, including the production of instrumentals and the writing of lyrics.

In September, Flume dropped a new track with Vera Blue called 'Rushing Back', while he also launched an open-source sample series for other producers in August.
