WTCHCRFT has announced a new EP, ‘Sleepless in Brooklyn’, via Local Action’s new sister label, Clasico. Check it out below.

The four-track EP follows WTCHCRFT’s ‘Wet Lung’ EP, his debut on Nene H’s UMAY label, which dropped in the spring.

Started during the pandemic and finished this year, WTCHCRFT said that the forthcoming EP is “dedicated to my time in Sunset Park Brooklyn, staying awake every day during the pandemic making music until 7AM.”

Curated and operated by Sydney-born, South London-based DJ and producer ELEANOR, Clasico is Local Action’s new sibling label and focuses on spotlighting “cutting edge global music”.

The label was launched earlier this year, dropping an EP from Miami's Coffintexts, titled 'Touch' back in May. Coffintexts will join aya, Jossy Mitsu and ELEANOR at Clasico’s first party ‘Club Clasico’ taking place later this month at London’s Venue MOT on the 23rd September 2023.

You can revisit WTCHCRFT's Get To Know interview with DJ Mag here. The NYC-based DJ and producer also played an acid techno set live from DJ Mag HQ in 2022.

‘Sleepless in Brooklyn’ will drop on the label on 20th September 2023. You can pre-order yourself a copy here.
