Yu Su announces new EP, 'I Want An Earth', shares lead track, 'Counterclockwise': Listen
The record's four tracks are inspired by Californian deserts and the coast around her home in British Columbia
Yu Su has a new EP on the way.
The four-track 'I Want An Earth' marks the Kaifeng-born, Vancouver-based producer's first full release of material since 2021 album 'Yellow River Blue', and will arrive via UK label Pinchy & Friends.
The producer says elements of the EP were inspired by time spent in the deserts of Ojai, California, while further influence came from the fertile coastal areas close to her home in British Columbia.
She said ideas for the record came thanks to "the objects around (colours, reflections of light, wood burning in the fireplace, and material rhyme with the sounds in the room) the desert and valley plants, the ground where citrus grows, and the flood and rainstorm that created".
'I Want An Earth' will be fully released this Friday, 28th July. Ahead of that, Yu Su has shared lead track 'Counterclockwise', which you can listen to below.
