Hawtin kicked off the station’s new live Essential mix series

Richie Hawtin’s live Essential mix, the first in a new series on BBC Radio 1, is now available to listen to online.
The BBC station broadcast Hawtin’s two-hour set live from the main room of Exchange LA on Saturday (30th January).
The Plus 8 co-founder played tracks by Joy Orbison, Nuno Lisboa, Tunnel, Huxley & J Philip and more.
In December, Hawtin released a compilation of fifteen tracks under a variety of aliases. The surprise album followed a trio of, originally uncredited, records on Plus 8.
The Canadian producer also recently announced that he is collaborating with Allen & Heath on new musical hardware.
