WAFF’S TOP 10 TRACKS FOR WAVE WEEK

Massive tunes from D’Julz, Marco Faraone, Slam and more...

Wave Week hits the Adriatic Sea next month as 40 yachts travel across five Croatian islands, sailing to a new destination and party each day and night from Saturday 13th to Saturday 20th August.

The event will see the likes of wAFF, Anja Schneider, Simian Mobile Disco, Soul Clap and Crazy P joined by Serge Devant, Clive Henry, Miguel Puente, Inxec, Krywald and Farrer, Robbie Akbal and many more.

Parties on the Wave Week route will be taken care of by Love Brunch, Percolate, Housekeeping, Cuckoo Club, Love Fever, Solomons Yard, Glam Clam and Deeplomatic.

Ahead of Wave Week, Yorkshire-born selector wAFF has picked out his 10 top tracks before he takes to the Adriatic islands. Through his association with Jamie Jones’ Paradise family in recent years, he’s been steadily building a name as an engaging DJ and one of the most loved personalities on the scene. So who better to go crate digging for DJ Mag ahead of next month’s Croatian boat party?

You can see more information on Wave Week below the tracks and get tickets on the event’s website.

Cabin Fever ‘Cheryl From The River’

“I love this tune as I’ve been hearing loads of DJs play it, always wanted it, but could never find it. Now I have a copy I buzz over it so much. I just love the simple beat and vocal.”

D‘Julz ‘Narcissistic Scratch’

“This is just a cool house track. The wobble bassline is mint and just a good filler of a set.”

Marco Faraone ‘Jamsession001’

“Marco Faraone is just wicked, I love all his music. This is just nice techno that sounds great.”

Vidaloca ‘Acid Jump’

“This track just boots off. I really like the big acid vocal and when it kicks into the beat, it really works for me.”

Raffa FL ‘How We Do’

“This tune always does well on the dance floor. And that’s why I like to play it.”

Traumer ‘Agenou’

“This is a cool minimal track with a long, mental percussion breakdown, that has s**t loads of mad drums all over the shop for ages. Then it drops into the cool beat of the track again. I love it!”

 Slam ‘Rotary (Roman Poncet remix)’

“This has been one of my favourite techno tracks to play for a while. It’s wicked. Mad sounds and a sick driving baseline. If you like techno then you will love this.”

Steve Parker ‘Acid Planet’

“This is just a mad tune. It sets a mood every time I play it. It’s really full on acid sound always sound mint.”

Chymera ‘Rust’

“I was listening through tunes the other week at a party with my mate in Iceland and he loved this track. He asked me to send it him, so I had a listen back to it and realised it was pretty nice.”

LTJ Bukem ‘Music (Technicolour 12' Remix)’

“This is one of my favourite tunes. Liquid drum & bass is mint and I just love this track. The bassline just gets me when I listen to it. I just love it.”
