ISLE OF DREAMS ISRAEL CANCELLED

Festival at the Sea Of Galilee is postponed due to Gaza crisis

Isle Of Dreams, the electronic music event that was scheduled to take place in three different locations next week, has just announced the cancellation of its Israel event.

The Turkey event, due to take place on August 5th — 7th, has also been postponed.

The festival in Switzerland is still expected to go ahead as planned.

Avicii, Axwell, Afrojack and Steve Aoki were among those who were going to play at Isle Of Dreams Israel from August 7th — 9th.

We are sure that you have been following the current developments in Israel,” the statement continues, “and within the last week the escalation of the conflict involving rocket attacks has affected people in every part of Israel — North and South, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Sea Of Galilee etc.

Israel is currently under a State Of Emergency and we are left with no alternative but to cancel this event and postpone it to a later date. Our over-riding priority as a promoter is always to guarantee the security of the fans, the artists, management and staff at our events.”

The statement goes on to say that everyone who has bought tickets for Isle Of Dreams Israel will be offered a full refund at their point of purchase.

It is unclear whether any DJs themselves had recently refused to play in Israel, following its relentless and much-criticised bombardment of Gaza in recent weeks.

Organisers have set up an information page here and ask all guests and potential buyers of Isle Of Dreams Israel tickets to visit this page for more info.
