DJ Mag nabs an exclusive stream of Steve Lawler's new EP
Steve Lawler is on fire! A staple in the UK house scene for nigh on two decades, Lawler started his professional life as a promoter, throwing illegal raves under the M42 motorway back in the early '90s. Since then, Lawler has mastheaded his popular VIVa Music imprint, that has played host to releases from Sante, Hauswerks and Lawler himself, as well as his popular party series, VIVa Warriors.
Still riding high from the phenomenal success of his last EP, 'House Record', Steve Lawler is set to return with his new EP 'Call Of The Cuckoo' next week, due to drop on Matt Tolfrey's much-loved Leftroom Records. Just like 'House Record', the EP's B side 'Can't Stop' calls on Lawler's deep-rooted heritage influences, it's all hammering drum grooves and chuggy bass sequences, and is set to be yet another certified smash for the veteran producer.
