In our latest How I Made video, IKONIKA breaks down how she made her club track ‘Kicks Count’. The track – from her latest ‘Bodies’ EP on Hyperdub – was created using Ableton Live and NI’s Maschine sampler and drum machine, which IKONIKA is a big user of.
DJ Mag Originals is launching a brand new series next week, called How I Made, where producers break down the making of their tracks, as well as their creative process.
In the series, which launches next Wednesday 12th August, we sit down with artists at our studio at DJ Mag HQ in London, and walk through the process behind some of their biggest cuts.

Titled 'Bodies', the four-track release is set to drop via Don't Be Afraid, the label through which she also released 2017's 'Oral Suspension'.

Hyperdub has launched a special edition Sega Megadrive with a compilation of fresh tracks stored on a game cartridge.

Hyperdub has teamed up with TV network Adult Swim for a new 15th anniversary compilation titled 'HyperSwim'.
19 artists that currently make up part of Hyperdub's label roster feature on the release, including Burial, Dean Blunt, Fatima Al Qadiri, Laurel Halo, Lee Gamble, Cooly G, DJ Haram, and label head Kode9.

Titled 'Manara Presents: The Ultimate Spice Mix', the compilation has been released with the aim of raising money for human rights charity, Restless Beings.

Adult Swim Singles have teamed up with Hyperdub affiliate Ikonika for its 44th label release, 'Resurrection Machine'.
A typically fierce club cut to the core, the bass-laden and ominous 'Resurrection Machine' is the DJ/Producer's first release since 'Into U' on Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990's Night Slugs earlier this year.
