“Uncut Gems. I took five second piece of the trailer and borrowed and sped it up to intensify certain points of the mix because it felt like it had a pleasing Hollywood-ASMR quality to it. I put a choir on top to give it an extra lift”
SHALT returns for his seventh outing on Los Angeles label, Astral Plane Recordings, this Friday 14th February.
Montreal producer Sayveeyun will release his new EP, ‘Impulse Ode’, via aurawire on 14th February.
Following his 2018 EP, ‘Bodyguard’, and a guest-production credit on Lila Tirando a Violeta’s ‘Sentient’ album, Sayveeyun’s new three-tracker fuses elements of grime, dubstep, black metal and ambient, making for a captivating listening. His use of vocals on the album is described as being a way of melding his connections to rave music with his Titetan heritage.

Belfast artist Son Zept will release his new album, 'A', this Friday 31st January.
Set for release on Belfast multi-disciplinary label, Resist-AV, the album swerves from distorted ambience and tape-hiss adorned accordions to full-throttle jungle breaks and techno, it's a typically diverse collection from the artist. Evoking the likes of Lee Gamble, Aphex Twin and AQXDM, 'A' is immense and rewarding, with more than enough delicacy and emotional poise to ensure it stands out.
