Apple M3 reportedly coming in October

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has suggested that Apple's first M3-powered Macs are on their way

Apple’s M3 chip is reportedly coming in October.

After teasing the news about the potential arrival of an M3-powered 13" MacBook Air and M3-powered iMac back in March, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has now suggested that the new line of Macs could surface in the autumn.

Speaking in his recent Power On newsletter for Bloomberg, Gurman says he has been told that another Apple launch is due in October, which would follow the release of the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro lines in September, as well as new Apple Watches.

Apple recently revealed their new future-facing spatial computer, the Apple Vision Pro — which combines augmented and virtual reality and is said to mark “the beginning of a new era for computing" — along with a new M2-powered Macbook Air, aka the "world's thinnest 15-inch laptop".

Gurman infers that "October is too early for new high-end MacBook Pros or desktops, so the first beneficiaries of the new chip should be the next iMac, 13-inch MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro".

Meanwhile, Apple has vowed to tackle climate change by introducing 100 percent recycled batteries by 2025 and making every product carbon neutral by 2030, also stating their intention to use "entirely recycled rare earth elements" in magnets for Apple devices.
