The company that brought to the world Patchblocks has started a Kickstarter campaign to bring its Minijam Studio - a set of portable music machines to the masses.

Minijam Studio is a collection of affordable hardware music products for studio or live use, comprising of a drum machine, a wavetable synthesizer, an analog filter, a mixer and a speaker. The whole set will sell for just £130 and individual pieces are priced at around £45.

Each device is powered by a rechargeable battery and can be used standalone or as part of the set.

Best bit? That’s all is needed to start making music with the minijam studio, no other devices or software is needed.

Whilst the collection is not MIDI-enabled they can be integrated with other devices like Korg’s Volca’s or Teenage Engineerings Pocket Operators, synchronising them with triggers.
